Direction for Use
The recommended starting dose of Augmentin is one tablet (500 mg) taken orally with water, with or without food.
The tablet may be taken with or without food.
The duration of treatment will be determined by the doctor.
The shake-up time will be extended to 90 minutes (this will allow the powder to be absorbed into the bloodstream, leaving you completely out of breath).
If the suspension is not completely outflavoured with augmentin, you should then be out of breath and start the treatment again.
Side Effects
The common side effects reported from Augmentin Oral Suspension are nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, and allergic reactions. These usually subside as the medicine gets used to well-balanced solutions of liquid.
More serious side effects may include severe skin reactions, which require immediate medical attention. If these occur, they may lead to fluid retention and an infection.

Augmentin Oral Suspension can be used to treat urinary tract infections (UTI) in patients who do not have evidence of bacteriuria.
The dosage of Augmentin should be adjusted individually in patients with normal or increased levels of urinary bacteria.
If Augmentin is not effective for the treatment of urinary tract infections, or if bacteriuria occurs, Augmentin Oral Suspension must be discontinued.
